Thought I'd better update my blog. Last weekend we were invaded by Moira, Kelly and Joanne who came down from Inverness for a long weekend. I got booted out and had to sleep round at Joys', but at least I did get some sleep, which is more than some did, from what I heard. On the Friday we took the girls to the Bluewater shopping centre for some retail therapy !!! and then on the Saturday we showed them some of the Kent countryside, stopping for coffee and doughnuts in Goudhurst and a drink at the Walnut Tree in Yalding. Saturday evening we all descended on Joy and Peter for a lovely meal, along with Mark, Pat, David and Sarah who had come over from Cuxton. The weekend certainly went very quickly and we hope Moira and the girls enjoyed their brief visit to Kent. Next time Al (I hope you're listening) you must come as well.

This week I finally managed to get the camera out of its bag and found a few pictures that I took just before we moved out of Woodleigh Lodge. The pictures were taken through the bedroom window one morning just after Johnny had cut the barley. The combine must have caught a rabbit, and this was pounced on by first a pair of Buzzards and then by a Red Kite. Hope you enjoy them.

Speaking to our solicitor this week, it sounds as though we are getting quite close to agreeing the contract on Firhall, so I've decided to fly up for a week early in December and I just want to thank Frances and Warren who have kindly agreed to accommodate me for the week.

One last piece of good news that has just come in, Loren, Gills' granddaughter has today passed her driving test at the first attempt. Unfortunately for me that will probably cost me some money, as I offered to pay for her Institute of Advanced Motorists test if she does within the next 12 months.

That's all the news for now.
