Snow, snow, quick, quick, snow

Look what we woke up to this morning, about 8 inches of the stuff, and where are my skis ? yes, in Scotland, argh!!!!!!

Total chaos throughout north Kent, our road which is on a hill has not seen a plough or gritter and it's now past 3.00pm. The only way we can get into town is to walk or put the snow chains on for about 1/2 mile and then remove them, which is a real pain. The forecast is for further snow tonight with another 6-8 inches possible. We were expecting friends from Cambridge to arrive tomorrow but if this continues I think that will have to be cancelled.

Changing the subject I had a lovely week up in Inverness last week and a big thank you to Frances and Warren for putting up with me. It was lovely to see all our friends and catch up with the gossip. The trip to see the architects in Dundee was successful and we now know why there is a delay in starting our house, it's due to SSE having to re-position a gas main. Unfortunately that means we may be exiled in Kent until the summer.

I'll give a further update on the snow over the weekend.
