For anyone interested in seeing the stunning scenery of northern Scotland, there are 4 programmes on the BBC iPlayer on the BBC ALBA channel all about driving the NC 500. The North Coast 500 is a 500 mile driving route from Inverness round the coast of northern Scotland. The programme does have english subtitles. Well worth watching and even better when you do it.
Just heard the sad news that my old flying club Alouette at Biggin Hill plus the other 2 flying clubs, Surrey & Kent and EFG are being booted off the airfield. I find it hard to believe that the airport is so busy with biz jets that they can't find room for a handful of Cessna's' and Pipers. I'm sure most of the circuit training is done at different airfields due to the cost at Biggin, £20 for a touch and go and £30 for a full stop landing!!! 😢
